
Dailymirror.news,Hyderabad, 5th March 2025: Celebrating 75 years of educational excellence, the Hinduja Group reaffirmed its commitment to shaping India’s future through its flagship institution, Hinduja College of Commerce.
What began as a modest primary school for refugee children has grown into a thriving institution with over 6,000 students, now setting its sights on becoming a deemed university.

Through the Hinduja Foundation, the Group currently supports over 700,000 students across India with initiatives like Road to School and Road to Livelihood. With a bold vision to empower one million students by 2030, the Foundation continues to drive education as a transformative force, contributing to India’s Viksit Bharat 2047 mission.
The event was graced by Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, as the Chief Guest, alongside the Governor of Maharashtra, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, as the Guest of Honour. Shri Dhankhar honored outstanding students for their achievements and emphasized the importance of integrating Sanatan values into education.

He urged corporate India to invest in specialized institutions that prioritize knowledge over commercialization, highlighting education as the most powerful tool for equality. He expressed confidence that Hinduja College will not only achieve deemed university status but also emerge as a globally recognized institution.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Ashok Hinduja, Chairman of the Hinduja Foundation, unveiled plans for a Skill Development Centre to bridge the industry-academia gap. He also announced new programs in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Wealth Management, Climate Finance, and Export-Import Management. Supporting the inclusion of Sanatan principles in education, he emphasized their role in fostering inclusivity and holistic development.

Mr. Paul Abraham, President of the Hinduja Foundation, shared details about the college’s ongoing redevelopment, which includes a state-of-the-art, multi-storied campus equipped with modern infrastructure and digital learning capabilities. Expected to be completed by 2028, this project will triple the institution’s physical capacity and expand its reach.

Currently offering over 30 academic programs, Hinduja College achieved NAAC A+ accreditation in 2023-24 and was granted autonomous status in 2022. Aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the institution is focused on equipping students with future-ready skills.
