Daily Mirror.News, June 29th, 2024: Parshv P’adap, a week-long gathering of sculptors and painters from throughout India, concluded successfully today. The one-of-a-kind art talent search camp, presented jointly by JAIN (deemed-to-be-University) Shantamani Kala Kendra and JAIN International Residential School (JIRS), included a variety of artistic activities.
These comprised a sculpting competition and a national painting camp, both hosted at the JAIN Global Campus in Bengaluru. The festival, which focused on stone carving, sculpture, and expressive painting, aimed to develop creative intelligence and originality among Indian artists by providing a unique venue.
The event was successful in bringing together enthusiastic sculptors and painters from all around the country and presenting their holistic, culturally rich craft through a socially motivated national camp.
The gathering, which included artists, art fans, students, educators, and people of all ages, was enriched by the presence of one Divyang artist, who demonstrated his talent. These artists used their great creative freedom to flawlessly mix parts of nature and humans, delivering uplifting themes that are pertinent to today’s world. The participants admired the variety and depth of artistry on exhibit.
In recognition of their achievements, the participants received not only certificates and trophies, but also financial prizes from the JAIN organization. The stone carving sculptures bearing the artist’s name and metal labels are now on public display, captivating spectators with their gorgeous stone and painting works. The sculpture’s stones come from Mysore.
“Our goal in hosting the camp was to highlight the skill of artists through painting and sculpting demonstrations, giving them a platform to advance in society. Today, as we see these amazing creations, we feel enormous satisfaction in all of the participants and a deep sense of success from the workshop.” Mr. M S Parswanath, Director of Projects and Facilities for The JGI Group at JAIN (Deemed-to-Be University), stated.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Chenraj Roychand, Chancellor of Jain (Deemed-to-be-University) said: “Creativity and cultural enrichment play a vital role in future development. By supporting these initiatives, we invest in a future where children and artists, inspired by their cultural heritage, can thrive, become self-reliant and contribute meaningfully to the progress of their families, society, the nation, and the world.”
Avinash D Kate, Dean of Art and Design at Shantamani Kala Kendra, said, “India has long been reputed for its artistic heritage that is evident in our temple artworks, monolithic structures, and ancient rock paintings. Hosting Parshv P’adap is our way of continuing this legacy and aiming to position our country as a global leader in arts and crafts.”
