Dailymirror.news,Mumbai, March 19, 2025: Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited (MLMML), India’s leading commercial EV manufacturer, launched the Mahindra WE (Women Entrepreneurs) Hunnar initiative in July 2024 to empower women in the mobility sector.

Through this initiative, MLMML has supported women in acquiring driving licenses for three- and four-wheelers, equipping them with essential skills for financial independence.

Under the program, 245 women received specialized training across three key areas: driving (3W/4W), customer care, and EV repair & maintenance. Notably, 52 women were trained to drive three- and four-wheelers, with MLMML facilitating their licensing and providing financial assistance through collaborations with lending institutions.

Additionally, the initiative upskilled 185 women as customer care executives and eight women in EV repair and maintenance. Participants gained hands-on experience with electric three-wheelers, comprehensive EV education, and financial literacy, leading many to secure employment in the sector.

Initially launched as a pilot program in Bengaluru, the initiative’s success has prompted MLMML to expand it to other cities. The project aligns with MLMML’s broader CSR vision of promoting inclusivity and empowering women through skill development. The training partner for the initiative was Lok Bharti Education Society.
