
Dailymirror.news, Hyderabad, 20 May, 2025 : In a powerful display of solidarity and support for breast cancer awareness, contestants of Miss World 2025 from five countries India, United Kingdom, France, Cameroon, and the United States visited the KIMS-Ushalakshmi Centre for Breast Diseases in Hyderabad today.
The visit, led by Ms. Julia Morley, Chairman and CEO of Miss World Limited, highlighted the significant contributions of Dr. P. Raghu Ram, whose pioneering efforts in breast cancer care have transformed the medical landscape in India over the past 18 years.
The delegation commended Dr. Raghu Ram for spearheading innovative initiatives that have advanced early detection and awareness of breast cancer in India. Dr. Raghu Ram, Founder and Director of KIMS-Ushalakshmi Centre and the Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation, shared the deeply personal inspiration behind his work his mother’s battle with breast cancer. He reaffirmed his life-long commitment to early detection, stating, “Early detection saves lives, and I pledge to dedicate my life to this mission.”
Welcoming the delegates, Dr. B. Bhaskar Rao, Chairman of KIMS Hospitals, praised Dr. Raghu Ram’s unwavering commitment and visionary leadership, calling his work a testament to love for both his mother and motherland. “Whatever he undertakes, he delivers with excellence,” he remarked.

Ms. Julia Morley, addressing healthcare professionals at the event, applauded the comprehensive, patient-centric model of care pioneered at KIMS-Ushalakshmi Centre, which she described as a model for the world. “Dr. Raghu Ram has built South Asia’s first purpose-built Breast Health Centre.
