Dailymiorror.News,December 7th, 2024: As part of The Gaudium School’s remarkable 10-year journey of excellence, The 5th Edition of Gaudium Sub-Junior Badminton Open Championship 2024 was inaugurated with great fanfare on December 7th at Gaudium Sportopia.

Hosted under the auspices of the Badminton Association of Telangana and the Medchal District Badminton Association, this prestigious tournament has attracted over 750 players from across the nation, showcasing the future stars of Indian badminton.

The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Padma Bhushan Pullela Gopichand, Mr. Nityananda Reddy—Chairman of The Gaudium School, Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy—CEO of The Gaudium School, and our Head of School, Ms. Sudeshna Chatterjee, symbolizing the shared vision of nurturing young talent and promoting holistic growth.

A highlight of the inauguration was the friendly sparring match, “Sparring of Shuttle,” between Pullela Gopichand and Mr. Nityananda Reddy, which enthralled the audience and set an energetic tone for the tournament.

The championship, running from December 7th to 10th, features categories for U-11, U-13, and U-15 boys and girls in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. This platform not only celebrates the skill and passion of young athletes but also reinforces The Gaudium School’s dedication to excellence in sports and education.

In his inspirational address, Pullela Gopichand emphasized the importance of discipline, perseverance, and a love for the game. He commended The Gaudium School for organizing such a large-scale event that empowers young athletes and elevates the spirit of badminton.

On this occasion, our Founder and Director, Ms. Kirthi Reddy spoke about encouraging children to embrace the importance of sports and resilience. She highlighted the vision of The Gaudium as an integrated campus where academics, sports, and arts come together to nurture well-rounded individuals.
