Recognizing the growing demand for agricultural experts, Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University (SKLTGHU) has extended the application deadline for its prestigious B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture program to August 16, 2026.

Highlighting the vast potential of the degree, SKLTGHU Vice-Chancellor Dr. D. Raji Reddy stated that graduates are highly sought after across government, private, and entrepreneurial sectors. “Graduates have opportunities in seed sectors, food processing industries, agro-export houses, and agribusiness startups,” Dr. Reddy noted.

“They can specialize in landscape design, protected cultivation, hydroponics, and vertical farming, which are increasingly relevant in urban and climate-smart agriculture.” He also emphasized that entrepreneurship is a strong pathway, allowing students to establish nurseries, tissue culture labs, and organic farming ventures.

The four-year program requires a Bi.P.C. background and a valid Telangana EAPCET–2026 rank. The university is offering 284 seats (230 regular and 54 self-financed) spread across its campuses in Rajendranagar, Mojerla, Malyal, and Ashwaraopet.
