
Dailymirror.news,Mumbai, March 19, 2025:Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global IT services leader, has signed a five-year strategic partnership with Air New Zealand to drive AI-led transformation, enhance digital capabilities, and streamline airline operations. This collaboration is set to position Air New Zealand as a digital-first airline, focusing on fleet management, crew scheduling, and passenger services.
The agreement was formalized at TCS’ Banyan Park Campus in Mumbai in the presence of New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, Tata Group Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Air New Zealand CEO Greg Foran, and TCS CEO & MD K. Krithivasan.

This partnership underscores TCS’ long-standing commitment to New Zealand, where it has been a trusted digital transformation partner for over 37 years. AI-Driven Innovation & Workforce Transformation
Air New Zealand serves 49 domestic and international destinations, operating over 3,400 weekly flights and carrying more than 15 million passengers annually. As part of this initiative, TCS will integrate AI-driven automation into over 600 digital applications, improving key airline functions such as:
- Cargo Services & Retail Offerings – Enhancing digital commerce and loyalty programs
- Disruption Management – Using AI to minimize operational disruptions and improve flight rescheduling
- Maintenance & Crew Operations – Optimizing workforce management and engineering systems
Additionally, TCS will lead large-scale workforce upskilling programs, ensuring Air New Zealand’s teams are equipped with advanced capabilities in AI, cybersecurity, and digital engineering.
